Q. When will registration open? What are the registration rates?
A. Registration opened April 5, 2016.
Q. I heard the BOMA Georgia Foundation is hosting this conference. Is that true?
A. Yes, the BOMA Georgia Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization, is the host for the 2017 Southern Region Conference. This means that your participation in the conference will help advance real estate education and research for CRE professionals throughout the Southeast.
Q. Who can attend the Southern Region Conference?
A. Professionals working or who have worked (retired and non-active) in the real estate industry. These include owners, asset managers, property managers and facility managers, building engineers and technical professionals, products and service providers and students. The conference does provide separate registration for spouses and guests. Please see our spouse and guest policy.
Q. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
A. Yes, you will receive a confirmation email immediately following your purchase. If you did not receive this email, please contact the BOMA Georgia Office at (404) 475-9980. All registrants will receive a reminder email prior to the Southern Region Conference.
Q. Are there any good places to eat?
A. Yes. We suggest using Google or apps like Yelp to find some of the best restaurants around the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead to dine at. We have also put together this “Places to Eat” flier to get you started.
Q. Are there any activities for my family?
There are scores of things to do while you and your family are visiting Atlanta. World famous attractions, vibrant nightlife and art and cultural attractions. http://www.atlanta.net/things-to-do/
During the golf tournament at the famous Stone Mountain Park, we invite conference attendees and guests to visit the park. There is an additional $15 per person charge for travel to and from Stone Mountain.
All registered spouses and guests will be permitted to attend all evening events and the TOBY banquet as part of their registration. Please note that the hotel offers a Babysitting referral service (TLC Sitters of Atlanta).
Q. Is there Wi-Fi at the conference?

Q. I have questions about sponsorship, what should I do?

Q. Where do I book my hotel room?
A. Our hotel is the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. The Foundation has secured a special room rate for guests of the 2017 Southern Region Conference. Your hotel stay is not included in your conference registration and must be reserved separately. Please visit our hotel page for more information.
Q. Can I transfer my registration?
A. Please contact the BOMA Georgia office immediately in the event that you need to transfer a registration, (404) 475-9980. Due to the time constraints of transferring registrations, we cannot process a transfer of registration after April 1, 2017.
Q. Can I register a spouse, partner or guest?
A. Yes, please see our registration policy for spouses and guests.
Q. How much is parking?
A. The Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead makes parking easy by offering guests two great parking options.
Guests who prefer to take matters into their own hands, can self-park in the facilities adjacent to the hotel. The daily fee is $24. Guests also may take advantage of indoor valet parking that includes in/out privileges. The rate for valet parking is $36 per day.
Q. How do I get to the conference?
A. The 2017 Southern Region Conference is set at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead. Directions to the hotel can be found here.
The preferred Airport for air travelers is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. http://www.atlanta-airport.com/
SuperShuttle offers shuttle service 24 hours a day to and from Atlanta’s airport. Guests must book at least 5 hours in advance. Rates start at $33. To make a reservation, visit our concierge, the SuperShuttle website or mobile app or call 1-800-258-3826.
Travelers can board the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) train within the airport. Train fare is $2.50. Train service runs from 4:45 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. on weekdays and 6:00 a.m. -1:00 a.m. on weekends. Trains depart every 10 minutes weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends. From the airport, Grand Hyatt Atlanta guests should board the Northbound train (N to North Springs). Exit at the Buckhead Station N7 onto Peachtree Road S. The hotel is two blocks away. Guests also may call the hotel at 404-237-1234 to request pick up from the courtesy car.
Q. What is the refund policy?
- Registration MUST be paid by March 3, 2017 for early registration discount
- After March 3, 2017 there is a $100 late fee.
- Please be aware that there are no refunds after March 3, 2017 for registration fees based on guarantees we must provide the hotel.
- Please note that all fees do not include Parking Fees, if any.
Q. What is the dress attire?
A. Dress for all conference events is business casual, with the exception of The TOBY Gala which is evening attire/black tie.
Q. What is the Foundation’s impact on the industry ?
A. Since the Foundation was created in 2014, it has awarded 99 scholarships to individuals seeking a certificate or professional designation in real estate. The Foundation has also conducted two research studies and produced a white paper, all designed to give real estate owners and managers new tools to add value to their properties.
Q. Can I donate directly to the Foundation?
A. Yes! Your support will make a difference in the professional and personal lives of real estate professionals and will ultimately advance the entire industry. Your donation to the Foundation makes a profound and lasting impact on the industry for future generations.
